Crusty Bread Rolls

Bread. How amazing is bread? A simple combination of flour, water, yeast and salt and voila…you have a loaf in your hands.  At the patisserie course on Saturday my hands got stuck into making these….

Leave the bread to rise

What do you think of my knots and plaits?

Fresh, crusty white dinner rolls. This was my very first attempt at making dinner rolls in a multitude of different knots and twists.  Boy they were tasty!  There’s a definite knack when trying to make exceptionally round and perfectly formed bread rolls.  Apparently it takes 10,000 hours of practice before you can consider yourself an expert in your field, by my calculations I’ve knocked 2 hours off my total…only another 9,998 far to many to go.

  2. I just hopped over from "Around the World" and saw the bread -- this is making me hungry! Thank goodness it's lunchtime.
